After walking along the front from the Oceanarium and seeing the little parks along the way we decided to take the cable car back as we had our little boy with us. He loved it, very high up and some pretty good views of modern Lisbon - don't expect to see the old town though. Very reasonably priced as well.

We spotted the Telecabine when we came out of the Oceanarium and as we were curious we decided to have a ride. It takes about 20 minutes round trip and there's no need to get off if you don't want to. It costs 3.35 euro for Seniors (65+) and 5.90 euro for an adult (round trip). It's a nice relaxing... More

We were at the local Websummit conference and since we were in the area thought it would be a good way to get a different view. Took a return ride which was well worth the money.

A round trip is only 5 Euros and takes 20 mins so it's a great sightseeing trip to slot in if your attending a conference at the centre next door. I loved this. Don't be put off by the cable car shaped hole in the concrete below 😉

We stopped off here after the aquarium and was worth the €5 (ish) return. The views offer a different perspective to Lisbon in comparison to the usual eighteenth century ancient buildings. You will be able to see the more modern structures and be pleasantly relaxed along the way no matter how far up you are. DO NOT HESITATE! GO!

As we were in the area, we decided to have a round trip on the cable car. It's a short ride and isn't particularly high. The views are fine though. At around €6 for the return trip, it's quite costly for what it is. Having said this, we had good fun and as it wasn't busy, we had a car... More

If you have nothing much to do in the evening and if you are around the Oriente area, perhaps its nice to take a one way cable trip and then walk back along the sea in the evening. Its really a relaxing walk and we love the scenary along the seaside as there are many bars and restaurants where you... More

We took the cable car three times on our recent visit to Lisbon! Our kids, after visiting the aquarium, loved seeing the fish and jellyfish from above during our cable car ride. The ride was about €12 for our family of 5...very affordable!

After leaving the Oceanarium, we saw this cable car and thought it sounded like fun to ride. You can either do a round trip or a single ride, and we opted for a round trip. The car itself is mostly glass with two small windows, so on a really hot day, I can see the car becoming very stuffy.

We had intended to go to the aquarium but were short on time. Family member had been on the cable car before so recommended it. We got a one way ride up to the myriad hotel. €4. At the other end there are a number of restaurants and a hop on hop off bus stop for all 3 of the... More
