We stopped off here on our way from the Belem Tower to the Monastery. The rooftop has lovely peaceful gardens and a rooftop restaurant too. Makes a nice break from the busy road below.

There´s no metro link to get there. But there are other options: there is a suburban train (Lisbon/Cascais) which stops just by the Museum. You can get that train at Cais do Sodre which is a big intermodal station near Plaça... More

Just take the streetcar to the very end (Jeronimos Monastery) then walk 200m farther west. It's an imposing modern building.
