This is a quite pleasing little chapel which is situated near many other much bigger attractions but very easily missed because the exterior is relatively simple..

We had just arrived into Lisbon the previous evening, and the next day being Sunday, were wondering where to go and attend Holy Mass. We could her Church bells all around us but we were wondering which direction should we go?
We decided to walk down the street and see....we came to this Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Saude, we walked in and decided to pray for a while, just in case we were not going to get Mass that day....
In a few minutes we saw more people walking in and guessed there was going to be Mass soon, we attended the Portuguese Mass here, with beautiful elderly women singing "Advent Hymns"...the sound of "Allegria Jerusalem....Allegria Jerusalem...stull rings in my ears...
Capela de Nossa Senhora da Saude - Chapel of Our Lady of Health is an old chapel as you will see, perhaps needs a bit of renovation but sitting there inside the chapel, praying with all those lovely people, was a beautiful experience, it was a beautiful start to a Christmas holiday in Lisbon, it is close to Praca de Figueira where they have a lovely Christmas Market - we did go there after Mass and have some breakfast.
I hope to visit the Capela de Nossa Senhora da Saude on my next trip - Such Peace !!
