Village Underground Lisboa is an international platform for creativity, art, and culture. It has an original architectural structure built with two buses and 14 shipping containers converted into multidisciplinary creative spaces where an artistic community resides. It has a restaurant and a sound recording studio. It hosts music, theater, cinema, and dance events with a focus on street culture.

Small but nice

Small place with buses. A cafe with few tables and some plantations around. Few people were there when we came. It’s near LX factory.

Really unique, beautiful, colorful, atmosphere made of shipping containers, reclaimed wood, rubber, and metal. Offers a restaurant and bar/cafe. Fun to roam around during the day. Free unless you choose to eat or drink. Some exhibits, and the upstairs restaurant, are closed during the day. Evening before the sunset is probably best for service but still to see the art. Located on the opposite side of the LX Factory. Parking nearby was a little tough to come by, but we found something!

Fun place for a drink if you are nearby

We came across this after visiting Pilar 7 and it was a great fun place to stop for a drink. It was Christmas Eve and so they were closing early and we couldn’t eat there, but great vibe.

Cool place to have a drink

It's a cool place with a cool concept and is perfect for having a drink in a fancy place. It has a bar and there is also a small kitchen in the double-decker bus where you can eat something. The Village Underground Lisboa is located near the LX Factory (no direct connection, you have to walk around), right at the roadside. The area consists "only" of 2 double-decker buses and about 12 containers - so I wouldn't plan too much time for this place.

This place is a good relaxing area. Good vibes, cheap beer, they made it so you can enjoy the weather and relaxing. This place is a pleasant surprise with a good chilling concept.

Fun, Quirky Place

We stopped here for a beer on our way to LX Factory. I honestly wish we would have stayed here instead of continuing to LX Factory. This place was so much more interesting. We walked around the levels and took pictures in the bus! This was probably one of my favorite places in Lisbon! So much to look at!

Lisbon version of London boxpark

A very quirky spot near the river and LX factory. It consists of several double decker buses and interlocking containers to make a very quirky cafe.

We (18 guys) actually ended up at Village Underground after a bike tour of Lisbon and it was a pleasant surprise. The concept is quite quirky and laid back, which suited us after the strenuous hill climbs of Lisbon. There wasn't a lot going on, they were setting up for an evening festival, so I suppose it does get livelier but it was good to sit with a beer in the sun. Stayed for a couple and could see the more interesting LX Factory behind, so headed off there, which was better suited for our requirements

After being to the LX Factory, my friends and I went to Village Underground and let me tell you, it's completely out of this world. I had no idea what to expect and I was not one bit disappointed

The whole time I was there I was just trying to figure out how on earth all those containers and busses were stacked on top of each other like ?? And if you get a chance to look inside one everything is so clean and organised, like the tattoo parlour (I think that's what it is)

My friends and I spent most time at the skate ramp though. We didn't actually have skates with us but we still had a hell lot of fun racing up and down the ramp, playing really loud music..it was awesome.

We really didn't wanna leave
