Loved the walk around the gardens, with plants from around the globe. They certainly knew how to set out a vista, shape it and wait for the trees to grow.

Well worth a stop on the Sintra tour, the gardens are beautiful and the house is too. The fern valley and the waterfalls and lagoons are very pretty and peaceful, if we had more time we could have happily spent the entire day here. Don't...More
There are a number of nice places to visit in Sintra but these grounds are the most beautiful. Varied, very well maintained and beautifully landscaped. The Mexican garden is an unexpected highlight. The palace itself is quite neat
The rooms are empty, so there is not much to see... the parc is nice but nothing special. A bit disappointing, specially that we walked all the way.
This beautiful garden is easily accessible and worth a visit. Relaxing place to enjoy, picnic and learn about plants and trees. The architecture of the palace is exquisite and the gardens are beautifully landscaped. Both romantic and educational. There is also a cafe on the...More
Went by car, plenty of parking space. Nice garden with intresting species of trees and other plants. Could've spent there a bit more time, if had the opportunity. A bit remote, so you'll need a city-tuk or taxi to get there, if you don't have...More
The gardens of the palace are beautiful and well worth taking the time to see. The palace was fully restored in the 1800's and worth seeing also. Take the time to come and have a look when in Sintra.
Was a rainy day so enjoyment of the gardens was a little spoilt. Get the local tourist bus there and back, from central Sintra. The Palace was undergoing much renovation but was pretty impressive. Well maintained and signposted gardens
