Don't drive, much to difficult to find parking. Also, like most sites near Sintra, wear walking shoes as much of the trip is up hill and rocky. This site was completely restored by James T Knowles for the Francis Cook family. Not only is the...More

This was one of the most happy places I ever saw. We were lucky and a wedding was about to start, so we could here music from the park. The park is charming, especially the cactus part where you see the ruins of the old...More

During summer it is the most quiet option in the area, since it is located further than the monuments "down town". The gardens will take you around 60-90minutes to walk around, although i didn't find it something special. The castle is nice although the interior...More

You'll be able to visit this park if you buy a ticket for Quinta da Montserrate. It's very big and very beautiful,it's like a botanical garden, there are species from differents areas of the world.

we were more impressed with gardens around the palace. Palace itself has some interesting exhibitions and showing a great deal about renovation of the place. Gardens are the real jem.

A lovely place. The grounds are more like a botanical garden, but I wish more plants were labeled. The inside of the palace is also quite lovely.

The gardens were luscious and green, with amazing views, serene waterfalls and cute stepping-stones. The 8 euro entry fee is worth it for what you'll encounter in the garden alone

I wouldn't make this a destination, but if you have some spare time it provides a very pleasant walk through some very peaceful grounds.
