Sintra is really pretty and even though it's bulging with tourists it is still quite accessible. You can find a car park without too much trouble and spend a really relaxing time wandering the streets and looking at all the amazing views in every direction....More

We averaged 20,000 steps a day whilst in Sintra and it's certainly a tiring place to get around, with a lot of hills and it's attractions widely spaced apart so whilst planning make sure you know how you're getting around.

I hesitate to use "trap" but hopefully you get the point. But it is fun for a stroll. Only WC is in the tourist info center, make sure you have 1/2 Euro to use.

Sintra is a lovely little town for a one hour stroll. However, the main attractions are located outside the city center and are far more interesting than the historic center of the city, as lovely as it is.

This is a town maintaining its medieval charm. The narrow streets are lined by local shops among some tourist souvenir oriented ones. In the main square you will find some good restaurants. We bought Portugal artists goods, some silver jewelry and ceramics.

Best if one avoids the heavy tourist days when it gets overcrowded. Loads of restaurants, tea rooms and such to choose from.

Sintra is a beautifully well maintained old Portuguese town that offers many historical attractions. Its heart is cute but unfortunately extremely touristic. It seems that it has been transformed into a living museum. If you plan to visit, avoid going on a Monday because it...More

Quaint, pretty and handy for the bus tours. Lots of restaurants and craft shops. Affordable but not cheap. The Quinta da Regaleira is a pleasant walk from here.

I felt that exploring Sintra was the highlight of my trip to Lisbon. I would even suggest spending an overnight hear to enjoy everything it has to offer. Just a short train ride from Lisbon

Actually Sintra village is a very small town located on top of the hills but it was worth visiting. After our visit to the Cabo da Roca, our tour group came by here for visiting. Basically there are 2 main perpendicular streets here, where most...More

Hi, having just visited Sintra, I would highly recommend you hire a private guide, we used Wonder Vans and were so happy we did. Tomas lives in the area and knew the streets and how to navigate and could just drop us off at... More
