Very beautiful botanical garden. Weather wasn’t very good on our stay. Was raining little bit but we liked it. So much spices of flowers and exciting views. It incredible.

varied well laid out gardens with eccentric must-see museum. If you're travelling on a budget don't get the cable cars, pick up the 31/31A bus from central Funchal - just as exciting.

Plus of course you can get there and back by cable car although noting it's two separate legs and not cheap but you can do as part of a trip up to the town further inland (forgot the name!)
