Well worth a visit, lots of history and a very knowledgeable guide, worth a hour visit. The wine tasting I would say leave to the conousers this is not table wine.

Now it would help if you like Madeira wine. Very interesting tour, we did the 45min version for 4e50. I thoroughly enjoyed the tasting session at the end but you do have to like the wine really

Had a vintage tour for my 50th Birthday, very Interesting and enjoyed the Madeira tasting afterwards too. Would recommend a tour if you visit Funchal

My daughters spared the time to visit the Wine Lodge only to be told that the time printed on their leaflets was wrong and the tour had started they couldn't go another day as we had other tours booked a very poor show!
