We went to a wonderful Restaurant here with views, the Hop on Hop of Bus also stops there - enjoyed the whole experience just looking down and around. Fully recommend a visit

Stopped here as part of a jeep tour of the island. The panoramic view was quite spectacular in all directions.

I was there 3 times. We get there with the bus. It's amazing view from this point. Free entry! Quiet cheap and very tasty coffee. There is enough space to walk,sit,photography. Great view for Funchal,mountains,ocean. Very close is big shop with the souvenirs.

It overlooks a valley with a town at the end of it. I'm sure Funchal would be better for the fireworks but haven't seen them yet myself.
