We parked below and walked up the steps. It's a very interesting religious monument, and well worth the trip up. Great for photos!

We walked all the way up from the city centre which is actually a very nice walk, all the way thorugh the park. And it is a day filling activity if you extend your hike all the way up to the mountain behind the church.

This church, steps, fountains and grounds are beautiful. Well worth a stop when you are touring around Porto, Braga and Guimares.
