This is a very beautiful and architecturally stunning old street. It can get a little crowed in the middle of the day in peak season As you walk from the Castle of Guimaraes / Palace "Paco Duques de Braganca" to the historic center of the...More

Nice little shops and barber shops. Real old-fashioned atmosphere, everything is clean and tidy. The whole city is very unique, but thios is the most beautiful street.

Quaint little street with this beautiful window and balcony. It’s a lovely walk down this street to get onto Tiago square.

Rua de Santa Maria is an old town cobbled street in Guimaraes Portugal. It has interestingly painted doors on a cobbled street, like living art. There are quite literally hundreds of them.

This small street, and every one in the old town center are lovely. Just take your time and take a walk, relax, take a picture...great feeling.

Having walked through Largo da Oliveira & Praca San Tiago we reached Rua de Santa Maria which in turn led us to Largo Cónego & Câmara Municipal de Guimarães. The road is interesting in both directions from Praca San Tiago

This is a street that you will come through on your way through the warren of Medieval streets of Guimaraes. The houses on either side of the small tunnel you will pass under are the Portuguese version of Romeo & Juliet.
