Porto’s tourist-oriented menus and true local foods aren’t necessarily the same thing, but telling the difference may be tricky without a guide. This small-group tour lifts the lid on the city’s authentic fare: with a guide to spotlight locals’ favorite dishes and food spots. Learn facts about recipes, absorb the atmosphere of eateries you could easily miss alone, and enjoy “petisco” (tapas), wine tastings, and other drinks as you go.

Highly recommended. Our guide, Alfonso, provided interesting information about not only the food but the city. Coupled with fun of being on foot for the afternoon, this tour provides much more than simply a food experience.
