Doing the 50 minute Douro river cruise that covers the 6 bridges appears to be something that most tourists do. However, we found it very disappointing, although you do get some nice views of Porto. Not that much to see to be honest!

I think the prettiest part is from Regua to Pinhao which is what we did. We did not stay in Porto until later. Pinhao looked to be a good place to stay, but we only did the day cruise - up the river on a boat and back to... More

I booked it on the internet. You can go to Cruzeiros Douro's web site, all the info is there. Book it direct it's simple and easy. Enjoy your trip!
