If you have crossed the Bridge Luis I, you can climb up to this church and you have a nice spot to take pictures from the bridge as well as Ribeira area. For the church itself, it is one of soo many in Porto, not...More
While visiting the church of Santa Clara, it was possible to visit only the convent, but not the church for which you need to be in a group. Beyond the inside, the big interest is the view over the city of Porto which is unforgettable.
This church is built on top of an outcrop and over looks the river and old city
Worth the visit for the spectacular views of the city
At night is the surrounds are lite
The church is linked to the largest of the city monasteries
Church of Santa Clara is on top of Gala side on Douro River. Due to renovation processes, it has been closed and will last for year on completion. Nonetheless it is still nice to stroll around and take photos on top of the river.

Unfortunately the church is close with no reason when we was there so we just walk around and enjoy the stunning view and have a different view on Porto riviera . If you are in Gaia side, this shouldn't miss .
This Igreja is well worth visiting and enjoying at leisure, since it is so stylish and well-proportioned, albeit on a large scale. The roof tiling is very attractive and the entire building rewards the casual photographer with wonderful photos.
The monastery is on a hill, and the city of Porto is wonderful see from there.
We visited the monastery with a guide that explained a great deal in detail to us.
I also climbed on the roof where I saw again a wonderful view...More
Unfortunately, none of my searches found info. on times. There are phone numbers for the church listed. Upon arrival in the city there are many who speak English and could call on your behalf and inquire.
