Good sightseeing if you get the water side, otherwise all you see is buildings. Nice restoration job on the tram itself. Beautiful old wood.

Great little tourist trams which operate in the main parts of the city and around Ribeira. Really quaint and cheap to ride, especially if travelling back uphill!

Leisurely ride alongside the River Duoro. Not quite in the same league as those in San Francisco but on a par with Lisbon's trams and very enjoyable!

I just loved travelling on this old tram, it takes you back in time. It is also cheap (3 Euro's) and travels at a spedd that allows you to view the city. It also goes out to Foz, and the Tram museum.

Tram number 1 takes you right to the place where the ocean and the river meet. We enjoyed the little sightseeing on the way and were excited about the beautiful interior of the tram.

Was recommended to take the Tram to the end of the line and visit the light house. The Views are amazing. Don't pick the ocean side both times, however, there are some great city views as well. It is expensive 3 euros each way, but worth it if you are a tourist

I took the tram (line 1) to Foz to see the Atlantic Ocean -it's the very last stop. It was easy to find and a quick 20 min ride to Foz. From there, you can explore the coastline and take some great pictures. If you have time, walk all the way up the coast, and explore the town, including the... More
