It is the largest park in the city and well worth visiting. It is located in the coastal area, precisely in the Foz district. After a long walk along the ocean you can definitely change the scenery and go from the blue of the ocean to the green of the park. Here, in addition to a relaxing walk, you can admire different species of animals and you can rest on the lawn near the lakes. You can get off from the hop on hop off bus tour at the park, and see the ocean beaches as well. The park is very large with lots of green space. If you have just a few days in Porto i wouldn’t put this on my list of top things to see, even though It is a nice green space.

Parque da Cidade in Porto is the biggest urban park in Portugal and the ideal place to have a nice relaxed walk, do your workout, have a picnic or even some birdwatching. Parque da Cidade, meaning city park, located on the western end of Avenida da Boavista, is one of the city’s lungs. Facing the ocean and with a direct access to Praia Internacional (the beach), the park, has 83 hectares of area and tries to replicate a rural ambience, and that’s why it’s classified as a “naturalist” style park.
