The attraction is the former residence of the bishops of Porto. The palace is located on a high elevation, near Porto Cathedral. The architecture is nice and the view is very beautiful!

There is a 5€ combined ticket for the cathedral and palace but is not advertised in the cathedral. The staircase is the mist interesting feature. It shows the extravagance the bishops lived in.

The weather was appalling when we visited the cathedral a stone's throw from our rental, so paid the extra to visit the Bishop's Palace & so glad we did. We were the only visitors, so had the place to ourselves. Stunning rooms & main staircase......
