Hi, we travelled by public bus (around 20 minutes). We used bus stop close to Igreja de Sao Francisco. You need around the church and after are bus stops. I can´t remember number of the bus (but don´t use tourist bus, use normal - public bus). Then you have to get off the bus close to Jardim do Passeio Alegre. I sorry that I can´t help more. But my husband had normal aplication from google maps and used navigation.
