We went on two tours “Tapas at the local market” and the “Port Wine tasting” as we like to learn about local food and wine on our travels. These tours did not disappoint! Ana and Alex guided us through the local food and wine at the local Bolhão market, mixed with some interesting Porto and Portuguese history. We met stall holders and sampled some fabulous soup, rice, charcuterie, cheeses, bread, and local wines. What a feast we had! Ana and Alex also gave us some great tips for local restaurants for the rest of our stay, and their recommendations did not disappoint. We sampled some amazing food during our stay as a result. The “Port Wine Tasting” tour with Ana was equally informative. We had visits to 3 different Port Wine cellars, which allows you to compare the different Tawny, Ruby and White ports produced by different cellars. We were expecting 7 different port tastings over the 3 cellars, but Ana managed to get us an extra tasting at one of the cellars, so we were able to sample a Rose port. Never knew that Rose port was being produced! Ana was a real help to us before and during our stay, providing information on the ever changing Covid related restrictions before and during our visit, and many recommendations for restaurants and things to do/see. Would 100% recommend using Porto Walkers for all your tour guiding whilst visiting Porto. Obrigado por fazeres a nossa visita tão agradável!

I booked the English classical tour with Maria and the Porto lifestyle tour with Cyril and they were both different but interesting. The guys are very friendly and easy going, very knowledgeable and will keep you entertained and informed with lots of history and fun facts. Ask any question, they know it all and will also give you any recommendation you need. Thanks again, you made my short stay in Porto two times more enjoyable!

A delicious afternoon with Ana, whose love for Porto, for its traditions, its people and for the products of the region was contagious. Ana took us to three different producers of Port wine, three different business models and sizes, where we tasted Port wines with different characteristics, in order to have an eclectic vision of Port wine industry and to make our own opinion among the diversity of producers. We learnt a lot, it was fun, it was delicious, and last but no least - in these unprecented Covid-19 times - it was clean and safe during all tour long, with social distancing, face masks, hand sanitizers...

I’ve done several walking tours in Europe and this was by far the best one. Fiel, the tour guide’s knowledge and passion for the city was evident throughout the whole tour. I learnt a lot about Porto in three hours. He also provided us with a pdf summarising the best spots to eat traditional food in Porto. Highly recommended to anyone who just arrived in Porto and wants to get acquainted with the city in a fun and entertaining way!

I took two tours with Porto Walkers - one was a city tour with Speedy Gonzalez (Gonzalo). Really informative tour, you can learn a lot about the city histroy, places to visit and good places to eat (and drink)! Guide Gonzalo is really nice and funny person! Highly recommended! Second tour was a wine tour with Alex. We visited some vinaries in Vila Nova de Gaia and taisted 7 types of port wine! Alex is really intelligent and sympatic guy, knowing a lot about Porto and wines!
