I adore this street. Great shopping, food, buskers and people watching. All of the little cafes along the street tucked in between great stores and boutique make this street a great way to spend a day. This is the city's main shopping area and as you would expect is busy and bustling at all times of the day and night with lots going on. Mostly pedestrianised there are shops and restaurants of all descriptions to suit all tastes and pockets.

I strongly recommend walking on Rua de Santa Catarina! The street is adorable, charming! It has several stores, cafes and restaurants!

Whether or not you are planning to do some shopping, a walk on Rua Santa Catarina is a must do in Porto! You’ll be able to find plenty of shops, coffeeshops and restaurants - including the marvelous Majestic. Make sure you stop there at least for a coffee or their home made pastry! Also in front of the shopping center - don’t forget to take a picture of their street art on the wall at the entrance in the building!…

Every city has such a chick street with a lot of shops, restaurants and for Portugal obviously igrejias (churches). You could feel the atmosphere of the city here. Just have a walk from one side to an other, stop to have a dinner and do small shopping.
