We have booked the "Oporto Canyoning Tour". It is a lot of fun and we can really recommend it. There is always the possibility to rappel down from the cliffs. Or if you ask the guides and they see that you do it well, you can do all jumps from a height of up to 11m. The nature is very beautiful and there are also really relaxing parts where you can just swim with the river. If you are interested in the history of the canyon, just ask the guides. On the hike to the starting point they told us a lot about the political situation in World War II, the mines and the fire in the canyon. After the tour there is the possibility to have something to eat at a small bar - the traditional sandwiches and the espresso are incredibly good. So good that even our vegetarian girls could not resist. You can also bring your own food and enjoy the breathtaking view over the canyon. If you choose the pick-up service, it is very relaxed and you can sleep on the way home after the exhausting activity. I am looking forward to going canyoning with "Latitude 41" again.

Overall, we had a fantastic experience with Latitude 41. The booking process was fast and simple and the guides picked us up at our AirBnB. Once at the canyon, the tour includes different elements like abseiling, cliff jumping and zip lining. The guides make sure that even the „easy“ tour includes elements for everyone like higher jumps etc. They were extremely attentive and we felt we were in safe, capable hands at all times. Would definitely recommend! Thank you Latitude 41!!

Just back from a day canyoning in Geres! Landscape is beautiful and the 2 guides super friendly and very professional ! All went smoothly, from the picking up from our hotel to the full day of walking in gorgeous gorges, cristal warm water, jumps, rappel, zip lining... all fun and secure. I just loved it. Highly recommended.

The guides from Latitude 41 are really professional & helpfull. They can pick you you at your hotel and drive you back at the end of the day. The only drawback is that you don't have the choice of the canyon you want to go on a given day. We went to Frades canyon which is nice but short & easy if you have an experience in canyoning.

Hi Dominique! We have 16 Canyoning programs between the Portuguese and English sections. You didn't get your Extreme Canyoning because your bookingt was in very short time in the busiest month (August). This route was fun and easy for you who are experienced practitioner but for most people it is a good challenge. We hope to see you again! António Martins

We’re really active people and we wanted to include an activity while on vacation in Porto that included being outdoors and soaking up the natural beauty of the country. Canyoning was a unique and challenging but incredibly rewarding option. The booking was easy and Latitude 41 stayed in constant communication so we knew what to expect before we left. The crew picked us up from our hotel in town and drove an hour out to the canyon. Once there we got our first of several safety briefings (in English), got all our gear on and ate a snack (not many options to do so once you get going). You leave everything in the van, which is safely locked up. That includes your phone (no pockets in a wet suit!) The terrain is challenging due to both the water temperature (swimming in it, walking over river walks or just wading through) and the physicality of the larger boulders you have to scale over/or slide down on your butt. But, the incredibly accommodating and patient guides made it possible for all levels to traverse the course down. Zip lines, rappelling, cliff jumping - everything was taken at your pace. They even take pictures and provide those to you the next day. If you like adventure, book with Latitude 41!
