We enjoyed walking into galleries and chatting with the proprietors. Also stopped in a small mall and ate lunch in their courtyard. They do have special events with music when the galleries are open extra hours. Worth a visit.

The Miguel Bombarda Street is posted as the "hipster-art area". Well, apart from one art-print shop which has the hipster-modern illustrator feel, the rest of the street stands out as a street with closed and no-access-galleries. Sorry, but this is not what I find of a throbbing heart/ art-centre.

Porto declared Roe Bombarda as its Art District. Well… there is some graffiti along the street, I did like the one that was a man's portrait and his beard was made out of green grass. I didn't feel it was worth the trouble of getting here.

Surprising to me that some reviewers found little there. I think they needed to look more closely. The galleries were numerous and of good quality. Our favorite was Cruzes Canhoto for its unusual collection and perspective. There were others we enjoyed also - very contemporary and well displayed - but CC challenged our usual thinking. Well worth the visit. We only did one portion of the street and intended to go back. Wish we had.

What started as the "Galleries' Street" is now a trendy district with many shops, restaurants and other unique places to visit. Many charming guest houses have opened in the neighborhood and it is very close to the Palácio de Cristal with its museum, gardens and beautiful view. Do not miss the tea shops and the CCB, a small mall with a small yet "green" farmers' market on Saturdays.

Walked the length of this street and was delighted by the artful graffiti and Bansky-esque street art. Spent almost an hour photographing these street walls... only one or two galleries were open along this stretch but wasn’t disappointed since there was still so much to enjoy....

Not worth going too, Saturday and nothing open but 2 shops, returned on Sunday and all closed, not sure why all the hype, it is just one same street and nothing there.

Art district? How? We walked around and only one gallery was opened (we didn't even saw others, were they closed? not indentified?) Desappoiting.
