The very convenient cable car takes you up there in 15 minutes or so. The views are stunning and deserve the trip. You should stay at least half hour to enjoy the 360° landscape. When buying your cable car tickets go for the two-way ticket....More

Sancturary in great location, top of the hill to be closer to the God. Nice park and amazing view in front of the church.

We took the funicular railway up to the Basilica, it runs regularly from near the station to the Basilica. It was a clear day and the views were stunning. The church itself is not that special but the views from the top are so well...More

This church is really beautiful and unusual as it is square. Inside it is very simple for a Portuguese church, but there is beauty in its simplicity. The view is lovely on a sunny day.

An interesting church with truly spectacular views. It's a long hike to get there so most people use the funicular railway which starts from the mountain side of the railway station. You haven't been to Viana if you haven't seen this place.

Nice ride up in the little train, and then enjoy the beautiful church and the great views. We chose to walk down the steps (all 625!) definitely coffee and cake afterwards.

Three Euros each for trip up and down. Majestic basilica, superb views of city and long beaches up and down the coast. We could see the starting route of our Camino.

Nice place to spend some time. The whole town is small so could visit in 1/2 day. There is a trail that I didn't do, as it would need tracking clothes and probably a day (10km).

Sorry for delay, admission is free. If you like going up to bell tower, each has separate elevator and you have to pay. It was 1 euro each. The one on the right has extra narrow steps to the top, the one on left has... More
