Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra Ashram is cited in Satsang Nagar township, Deoghar, which is located around 7 kms distance from major rail head jasidih Jn. (Patna - Howrah line), Jharkhand.
The Satsang Nagar township is vast in area having their own railway station viz. Satsang Nagar halt on loop railway line between Jasidih jn and Baidyanathdham, school, college, ved mandir, Head Post Office, Hospital, Bank Branch and importantly Indian Railway reservation counter near the main Satsang ashram and many more establishment like buildings for the disciples those who want to stay. It is observed that a huge building adjacent to the main ashram is constructed only for common kitchen and for distribution of prasad in form of lunch/dinner (they call Ananda Bazar).
The main Ashram is about 2 kms from Satsang Nagar Gate which is very huge campus surrounded with lush green trees (mainly herbal trees). Gardens, Lovely flowers. The Ashram is Very quaint, peaceful atmosphere. It is noticed that within the campus there is small Zoo, swimming pool, Satsang Publishing House, Herbal Medicine center, Gaushala, Automobile Garage having vintage cars like Rolls Royce, Hudson etc.
The Morning and Evening prayer is superb. Various places where Sri Sri Thakur used to sit viz. Aluminium House (Main Chowkey), Nirala Nivesh, Jam-Tala etc is worth seeing. The small museum in Boral Bunglow near main chowkey is awesome , very neat and clean. The entire life of Sadguru is depicted. The museum is having literature, photographs, the various materials used by Thakur which are preserved very carefully.
It has obesrved that almost all the VVIPs of our country as well as from across the world had visited Thakur including Mahatma Gandhi. At present the organisation is administered by the grand son of Thakur.
On the eve of Thakur's 100th Birth Anniversary , India Post department has issued Centenary Colorful Stamp of Thakur.
It is to be stated here that one must must must visit the place once in a life span. Best month of visit is from November to February.

Satsang Ashram is one of the major religious establishments of India and is close to the holy and very ancient temple of the great Lord Shiva, related to the Radhaswami sect. This is main branch of Satsang started by the famous guru Thakur Anukul Chandra in India and most revered by the devotees. The Satsang has more than 2000 branches in India and abroad. You can have all milk products out here such as Peda, Rabri, Dahi and dairy sweets of various types alongside some great vegetarian food. The ashram has free kitchen known as 'Anandabazar'. You can also stay here at the ashram for free but it's only for devotees.

This year too, along with a friend got an opportunity to visit Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra Satsang Ashram at Satsang Nagar Deoghar. When we reached at the ashram, it has noticed that the evening prayer was just completed and the disciples were gathered near the Aluminum House to offer their pranam. In the said house the idol Sri Sri Thakur’s is placed on the big chowkey (Bed) covered in spotless while bed sheet and pillows . It has also observed that the entire premise is kept as original as before when the Sad Guru was alive in flash and blood.
The divine fragrance of incense Dhoop has made me spellbound. The atmosphere was very vey pious. We were there for two days and during our stay we have attended their rhythmic prayer, roam in the campus, visited Memoria ( a small museum) and explore the vicinity of Satsang Nagar and Deoghar town.
We had experienced tea in clay cup (They call Bhan or Kullad), Hot and fresh Shingada/Chop (Samosa/Bhaji), yummy Bengali sweets in the dhaba style restaurant near the ashram and at Deoghar town. This time posting some of the photos of the nearby activities immediately outside the Satsang Ashram and Deoghar town.
Finally, it is felt that one must visit this hidden place at least once in the life time and have a blessing of Sadguru. Also not to Miss Singhada, Chop, Sweets, Tea at the local dhaba near the ashram. Tastiest food (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) at Hotel Neel-Kamal near tower chowk and of course varieties of softest Bengali sweets at Avantika Mistan Bhandar , Deoghar town which is hardly 1.5 kms from Satsang Nagar. Never to miss Jhal Moodi at 20:00 hrs near tower Chowk at Deoghar.

There was nothing worthwhile to see here except the orchard and garden. The old watch tower was in a broken-down condition and the 'ashrama' of the religious guru was also ill-maintained.
