An amazing experience being guided deep into a magnificent cave full of natural wonders. Our guide Vasalia was lovely, very knowledgeable and ensured that we were included by translating into English. Don't miss this if you are in the area.

Definitely one of the highlights of Ioannina region. 45 minute tour, 1100 meters distance and 600 steps to climb so a basic fitness level is required.

If you've never seen stalagmites or stalactites this is a great attraction. The cave is estimated to be one and a half million years old. There is a guided tour which lasts 45 minutes. Th e temperature inside is always 18 degrees Celsius so it.s ideal either on a really cold or hot day

the cave is very impressive, you walk inside for about 45 minutes and the distance is 1.100 meters. At the end there are steep steps to get out, must be able to walk! There is a guided walk so if someone feels uncomfortable I guess they can take you out! It a beautiful place and really worth visiting, the village... More

Perama Cave is 6 km away from Ioannina. It's been discovered only in the 1950's and you can explore just a third of it, but it's the second one in all Greece. The guided tour, in English or Greek. takes 45 minutes, ticket 7 euro. Its rocky formations, stalagmites and stalattites are very interesting and fascinating. The small village of... More

If you like geology ...go see it. If you love nature....go see it. If you have children....go see it. Its a natural wonde, which has remained very natural with no special effects, colours, videos etc. Hence, it is not for the Today Generation who require entertainment for the appreciation of nature. Also, not for elderly or those with walking difficulties,... More

We have seen quite a few caves but, as it was a grey and rainy day, we decided to spend an hour or so visiting these caves. Well worth it - the stalagmites/tites are always amazing! The tour lasted almost an hour - I felt it was a bit rushed, as there was never quite enough time to just stand... More

Visited as part of a day out in our hire care around Ionninna . Found by accident. Well worth a busted but not if you cannot managed a lot of stairs as there are lots and it's dark in the caves. Price was good for the activity and had a guide who translated well into English. No photos can be... More

Very close to Ioannina town. Worthwhile visiting. A nice cool walk in a cave full of stalagmites and stalactites. With the same ticket you can visit the small museum in the entrance of Perama.
