My wife and I cannot say enough about our experience with VIP Athens Tours and especially about Petros. He was always so professional, accommodating, punctual, and personal; he was always ready to open and and the close the doors for us, place our luggage in the car, and adjust the travel plans for a snack or bathroom break as needed, always with a smile. We spent about a week in Athens total that was split up by visits to nearby cities on the Greek mainland and various island tours. Petros accompanied us on the day trips to Corinth, Olympia, Delphi, Meteora, etc., always providing us with the best food suggestions, pointing out less-touristy area to visit and/or purchase gifts for family, was engaged in helping us learning simple Greek phrases, and was above all was patient when we inevitably took extra time to scope out a museum and its related archeological site. By the time that we departed Athens for our island trip days, we had spent a significant amount of time with Petros, and while each driver whom we encountered in Greece was professional, we longed to have Petros with us on those days as well. As others have stated, Petros became more than just our tour guide, he became our friend and by the time the end of our trip arrived, my wife and I felt like we were saying goodbye to a family member. We, without hesitation, recommend Petros and VIP Athens Tour to anyone traveling to Greece in order to maximize their experience. Thanks so much Petros, we miss you. -The Boss and Assistant Boss

I work for a very large international company and travel frequently for work. Often I participate in tours as part of a cultural exchange and therefore I have a good deal of experience in being on tours- and I have to say when I read through the reviews I just nod my head in agreement- there is a reason why this family run business has such great reviews- it truly is like being welcomed to Greece by your Greek cousin, and at the end of your tour, you will indeed have a Greek extended family. Hospitality is a word that is thrown around, but Tassos and Petros truly embody every element of hospitality. I have been fascinated with Greek history since Western Civ and I was so excited to visit Greece. A few messages with Petros so he could understand what we were interested in led to an amazing full day tour where we went to Corinth and Mycenae amongst other stops along the way. Petros arrived in a luxury Mercedes sedan with cold waters and off we went with a stop to see the Corinth canal and then a stop in Corinth right as the site was opening where we were able to visit without huge crowds and to take amazing pictures. After a visit to the Acrocorinth and a walk up the steep paths we were off to Nafplio where Petros took us to lunch at a fabulous harbor side restaurant where the owner set up a table just for us- this was a local place that was crowded on a Saturday afternoon- and once the food started arriving it was easy to see why- Greek salad piled high with feta, red ripe tomatoes, crisp cucumbers and onions. As if this was not enough, Petros and the owner helped us pick out some traditional Greek dishes- moussaka that burst with flavor (unlike the “tourist” food in Athens), delicious gigantes (some sort of magical large bean that was beyond delicious) some sort of grape leaf wrapped minced meat/rice lemon sauce dish and a flat bean dish. I’m not sure what all we ate because after the first bite it was pure heaven and we dug in. The owner also brought us some Tzatziki sauce and a lovely dessert. After we were throughly stuffed on food and local beer, we were on our way again to visit the acropolis at Nafpoli overlooking the town and sea. Two more stops at a large amphitheater and archeological area and we were on the beautiful drive back to Athens. It was an amazing day and I can’t wait to go back to see more sites- I wish we had more time this trip, but without a doubt, we will be calling Petros to take us to see Mt. Olympia, Delphi, Sparta, and all the other sites on my bucket list. Petros also accommodates cruise ship tours so if you are only in town for a quick stop, don’t hesitate.

My family and I can not rave enough about Petros and the entire VIP Tours experience. Starting when we landed in Athens, Petros was so amazing, professional, and ready to show us the beauty, history, and warmth of Greece. His wit and welcoming energy could not be more inviting. During our visit, Petros not only took us to all of the sights but did so in the most local and efficient way possible. From the secret photo spots, to his tactics of getting us as close possible to the sites, the entire process was so seamless and really allowed us to fully take in the beauty, significance, and culture of the country. In our time in Athens, Petros not only took us to all of the key attractions (the Acropolis, Olympic Stadium, and Statue of Lord Bryon, to name a few) but also to some amazing hidden secrets that provided unparalleled views of the city! From his lookout points, to authentic restaurants with jaw-dropping views, Athens seemed even more magical than we ever could have imagined. In addition, Petros further facilitated our visits to some of the archeological sights outside of the city as well as ensured our travels to the Islands were seamless. Overall, Petros could not be more of a professional. From his promptness, politeness, and excessive patience (we always need to go to the bathroom), Petros could not have been a better guide and all-around company. He was prepared for anything, always having fresh water and a backup plan for any excessive crowds, traffic, or even a different type of cuisine. Petros' energy and joy are continuous and made our experience truly exceptional! In short, if you are looking for a guide in Athens, stop searching!!! Petros is the man and will make your trip an experience of a lifetime. Love, The Blooms

Tassos was pleasant and knowledgeable as he drove us around Athens pointing out the sights and introducing us to interesting areas of the city and telling us the best places to eat and shop. He was an excellent driver, the vehicle was immaculate, cool water available, and friendly and pleasant conversation.

Tasos was informative, friendly , accomodating and generous. He was a guide who truly enjoyed showing us his country . While we visited the main archaelogical sites from Athens to Thessaloniki, Tasos also showed us these interesting little spa villages that weren't on the itinerary . We were very appreciative of Tasos's services on our very first visit to Greece. He made it specially memorable and we would recommend him and his company wholeheartedly.
