Hard to believe that buildings at home look worse than something 2500 years old! The Parthenon is a triumph of the ancient world and a must see!

Nothing really prepares you for the stunning Parthenon. Lifelong dream to visit and so glad to tick it off my list. Makes a lasting impression and well worth the effort. Love the whole site. Views of the massive sprawl that is Athens.

Although a shell of its former self this building is still beautiful and impressive. Undergoing restoration but this does not stop you from getting photos of it without scaffolding or people in them.

The Parthenon is the biggest and most impressive building on the Acropolis. It has been under reconstruction for the past 30 years so make sure you take the time to walk all the way around in order to get pictures without all the scaffolding.

Awesome monument! Took our breath away as we marveled at it. It is mind-blowing trying to imagine its grandeur during the ancient times.

It is best to go to the acropolis in the morning before the crowds, but also before the heat sets in. Go to the opposite side of the entrance early on to get your pictures without the crowds. If you spend the evening in Athens,...More
