Some rare trees, a mini zoo, great relaxing place. Even though is small (of what else i see in Bucharest) it's pretty cool. Definitely a place to visit if you want to relax in the middle of the day.

Nice park in the center of Athens, right next to Parliament. It is not very large, but it is just a place to relax after exploring the city. There is a very small zoo.

Head to the National Gardens for a cool and relaxing walk after a day in the plaka or shopping in Ermou Street. There are quiet corners, seats and space to stroll. Locals walk their dogs and have picnics.

The Zappeio was once a king’s castle, it is now a convention centre. The day we were there we were allowed to slip in and see the centre courtyard, round and open to the sky, but crews were preparing the space for a convention, so...More

Very pleasant and family friendly, but nothing spectacular. Worth a stroll between ruins. A lovely duck pond in the middle with pure white ducks and a footbridge.

The gardens cover a huge territory. You need to kep yur bearings here. People we know who live in Athens claim they have got turned around more than once in this loveely site.

Really lovely environment in the park which although not that large feels bigger then it is. Felt a little sorry for,the piles ,of turtles in their pool - they look like it is far too small for them. Love the planting and the areas of...More

A pleasant shady green space, much appreciated in the heat of summer I should think. Very central, escape for a while from the tempo of this bustling city.

A lot of green area where you can have peaceful walking around little pond. Also some small zoo coexist in this place. Recommended for runaway from the rush of the city.

Enjoyed walking in the gardens on several occasions during our stay in Athens - Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Arch are within the garden and you have a great view of the Acropolis.

Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is
Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament
building on its upper side and surrounded by other
large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande
Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia
are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like
the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia
Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents,
