Excellent place: interesting architecture, great contemporary art exhibitions. The museum shop is also great for gifts. This is a special place to visit for getting a taste of contemporary Greece. Not far from the city centre, best way to go is a short taxi ride.

We visited Benaki Museum for method abramovic, which was super interesting. I liked better the perfomarces than the main exposition. The space is very nice, modern with a cafe available for coffee, drinks and snacks. Also, there is a cute theater for concerts!

The museum hosts high-profile exhibitions and cultural events in a recently renovated 1960s industrial building. The museum was inaugurated along with the Benaki Museum of Islamic Ark by director Antonis Delivorias just in time for the 2004 Summer Olympics.
