We visited Chania as part of a cruise visit so only had a few hours her, but this is definitely a place I would want to return to. The harbour is just so picturesque, so many photo opportunities. Lots of small streets nearby teeming with...More

The view of this harbor is very picturesque! The lighhouse at the entrance is memorable. There are many restaurants located along the promenade. Also many shops nearby. A bit crowded, but manageable.

We stayed near the harbor and it was good for having lunch nearby the water. There was easy access to convenience stores for water and the bus station to travel to other parts of the island.

This normally sheltered harbour was experiencing the pre-cursor of a huge storm...waves were encroaching into the harbourfront shops and restaurants. Nonetheless, it is a fascinating place - easy to imagine what the town was like when the Venetians ruled...and, with climate change upon us, I'd...More

The Venetian old harbour is an ideal location to stay whilst visiting beautiful Chania. It’s not too far from everything & will be quiet as it’s away from the restaurants & bars
