I went there with family, kids ages 7 to 17. We all had so much fun and everyone could find something to do or smt interesting. Loved the earthquake simulator, moving animals, kids area etc. There was to see for many hours. Staff was so nice and helpful. I (we) would visit it again :)

We went on a rainy day and had a great time. Lots of educational items for kids who lived it. Certainly recommended to all.

Just excellant! Its collection are presenting very well the island and the Greek nature. It is clean, contemporary and interactive. It is a super must especially if you have childern (they will love it, for sure!)

You don't expect to find a place so educative when on holiday in Crete. Following a friend's suggestion, we arranged a visit with a group of 17 old students, a hard to please age group. The exhibitions are very rewarding especially if combined with the guide's presentation, which is necessary, in my opinion. A museum not boring, as museums should... More

This is a very important spot in Heraklio and Crete in general. I personally spent more than 3 hours there, and my kids did not want to leave. An amazing journey through history.

We visited this museum as there was a force 8 gale blowing and though it had not been very well reviewed, it was something to do on a very wet day. We were very glad we did as we thought it an excellent museum, both for children and adults. Plenty of dinosaurs for the children ( but interesting facts about... More

A definite place to visit. The dinosaur's have motion sensors therefore on approaching each one they begin to move - brilliant. There is a large display of wildlife to be found on the island plus an excellent section of, what to me, is very futuristic motion and sensory items.

I stopped by this museum as I had a bit of extra time one afternoon in Heraklion. It is a nice little museum that shows the natural history of the area and I enjoyed seeing some of the wildlife that likely I would otherwise never see. It is a bit more geared toward children though so would be good for... More

We really enjoyed the museum and the staff were very helpful. They were engaging and wanted to be sure you were getting the most of the experience. It was very interesting and we really enjoyed our visit. Also the view behind the Museum of the Seaside is wonderful if you have time to walk down and enjoy.
