The boat trip took an hour to cross the short channel and cost 25€ Per person May 2017. Very disappointing. The island is sold as an eco island with strict instruction on what you an and can't do, I.e. No picking shells, don't pollute, etc. but there was litter everywhere (plastic bottles, sheets, bags, metal sheets rusting, garden chairs, a... More

I am Greek, I have visited more than 30 Greek islands and this is one of the best sea-water I have ever seen! I understand that if you are not used to the hot weather you may not enjoy Chrissi throughout summer as it can be very hot so probably the best period (for swimming too) is May-June. Other than... We looked for a white sanded beach that is not too crowded and asked the front desk in our hotel to assist. They directed us to Chrissi Island beach which was great. White soft sands and crystal clear water. The beach was kind of crowded and not perfectly clean, but we had a great time!

This is a nice island. You can make a hike of 18 km across the island but you won't have time to walk it all. When we were there it was very warm. If the weather is nice but a lot of wind the boats don't sail. This excursion is just a sunbathing/swimming trip. Be prepared with suntan, drinks (frozen... More

Very beautiful Island. Sandy beaches everywhere with white, and ultra-white sand. Beautiful, clean see water. Could be windy. Absolutelly I recomend going there. Ferry is for 25 Euro per adult. 12,5 Euro per child. In July it is very hot - be prepared - take sun umbrella and a lot of drink water. Staff on the ferry is offering ice-cold... More

The island itself is very beautiful, white sand, amazing cedar trees, incredible views, amazingly clear water where you can see beautiful and colorful fish. It wasn't very crowded, which is a big plus. It's protected by UNESCO and you can only visit it three times a week. There are rocks in the water, but it being so clear, it's not... More

Nice relaxing place to spend ur day with family. Enjoy the beach and a walk around the island. Due to the expensive tickets one time visit is all you would do. So go early and stay on the island for a good few hrs. Last ferry to the island leaves around 12noon. And returns at 5-5:30pm. Island has a canteen.... More

One of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. Sunny beach, crystal clear water and lots of cedar trees. It is about 1 hour by boat from Ierapetra. Ideal for a daily visit.
