This is a humbling yet beautiful place to visit. A stark reminder that war is brutal. With a small history room explaining the memorial, where you can sit if you're unable to climb the steep, but relatively short walk to the graves.

Quite easy to navigate to the place from our hotel when we were walking uphill by foot. The place itself is interesting enough to motivate the walk. If it was on a hotter day I would still go but then by taxi.

We walked up to see the cemetery and found it to be a humbling and moving experience. We knew some details about the battle of Crete but going to see all those graves of young soldiers made it all very 'real'

Visited this cemetary which is near the Louis Cresta hotel, it is an up hill walk not for the faint hearted, get the little tourist train, kept in immaculate order.

Its easy to miss this site but as you drive out of Maleme its sign posted as Deutscher Soldatenfriedhof. After driving a couple of Km's along a single tarmac road you reach the carpark and information centre, then after a short walk uphill, the cemetery....More

Very quick stop during a rainy day. Still made me hungry for history and I red about Battle of Crete and Hill 107 battles. War cemetery is always a good place to visit.
