The walk begins relatively unchallenging, but then come the ropes and the ladders, the scrambling and climbing! The gorge is shady, so pleasant to walk in, but take water and a snack, because although not very long, it is slow going for ordinary mortals like me. One caution - we heard the odd rock fall into the gorge - next... More

To try and clear up confusion in previous posts: 1. The walk to the church is easy and to observation point also easy, but more uphill. Both extremely worthwhile. 2. The loop walk around the 2nd bridge is more tricky, attempt only if reasonably fit and comfortable with scrambling, short steep sections and easy bouldering. You WILL need shoes with... More

unlike other canyons I've visited this more luxuriant without difficulty walking. Fine access to water and easy to walk to most with a bit of experience. There may be many visitors at first, as there is a small church.

Very nice gorge! Heard this 1 is better than Zeus cave? Not sure apparently this 1 had more of a physical challenge my son was quite scared on the way down as you have to walk over rickety ladder and bridges and hold onto ropes to climbed the side of the cliff excellent day out we walked all the way... Not crowdy and great fun. It was exciting but not dangerous, put some sneakers on because you have to climb. We walked in the middle of the day but there is shadow so not too hot. Afterwards a bite in the taverna with good traditional food. Great souvlaki from the bbq.

Very good program . I just do not recommend for people with babies. It is a little dangerous, especially the bridge , very steep . There are two ways to get to the bridge and proceed in the direction of the river, although neither is very easy , the left "road" has less ups and downs and it is less high.... More

We visited the gorge on a very hot day, but as we were following the river on the left side (across the fist bridge) there was plenty of shade. Only pitty was that the road markings are limited. Although we walked quite a long distance we never came to the second bridge for the return on the other side of... More
