Palea Kameni is one of the stops of sea excursions in Santorini. Here are the hot springs which aren't necessarily hot but still warmer than the rest of the sea. When going there wear a dark bikini/bathing suit because the water contains a lot of sulfur so it can stain your bathing suit. Also take qater shoes with you as... More

I have never been to a hot spring of this kind! You can get there by boat that will stop about 400 meters from the shore. I like the experience of swimming in iron water and you can see how it bubbles up from the underground. It's very touristic but I liked it. Wear only dark swimming suits and clothes... More

We stopped at the hot springs as it is included in our 3-hr tour of the volcano. The boat anchored about 20 metres from the hot springs and you have to swim there. The water was cold initially (this is July) but it got warmer as you get closer to the hot springs. It gets very crowded at the hot... More

Our sailing boat excursion took us to the hot spring. After you jumped out of the boat, you can swim to the little bay. You can feel the water changed temperature. And as the mud get shallower, you can apply it to your body.. or your face as you wish. It was fun and a nice experience for us!

This was one of the highlights of a fantastic trip to Santorini. I visited as part of a boat tour and was delighted to discover that you had to jump of the boat to swim out to the warmer mud. A quick swim later I was covered in orange muck, but days later my skin still feels fantastic. I could... More

On our day long boat trip we stopped at the hot springs and were able to swim inshore to their source. We were warned that the rusty mud would stain clothing if you got it on them. We were not warned that it would make your fingernails 'rusty' for several days afterwards. Nor that it was bad egg smelly!! Some... More

If you come here during yout boat tour, don't forget to go for a swim in the hot springs. The water is cold at first, but it gets warmer and warmer, and it's quite hot at the end of he bay. Had a great time there, pieces of orange mud swim by you. Such fun :)

Come on, these are not hot springs but a little warmer water than on any beach around Santorini. Plus very crowded. Not worth it.

Most boat tours that go to Nea Kameni will stop here shortly. The boat cannot go into the hot spring area so it anchors a little ways away. You jump off the boat and the water is pretty cool in June but refreshing. It probably feels this cool because it's so hot out. You have to swim a little ways... More

My absolute favorite thing about our trip to Santorini! We rented an ATV (since we didn't have a scooter license) and drove up and down the entire island. We were staying in Firostefani and rented from a place in Fira, but you can find rental places all over the island! From Fira we drove down to the tip of the... More
