This pretty little monastery is well worth a visit if you are in the area. It's only minutes from the Navagio beach viewpoint in the mountains of pretty little Zakynthos. The monastery itself is pretty, authentic, traditional Greek, both inside and out and is peaceful...More

Stopped off here on our island tour. Very small and not much to see. Kept very clean and tidy. Must admit good commentary by our guide.

Small monastery with a nice small church in the middle. It is ok because you can walk around. but i am not sure that this is the most beautiful thing on the island. Dress appropriately for the church.

We was at Anafonitria Monastry in september 2017. Really it's nothing special. If you are close to the Shipwreck beach you may visit this church, but if you don't go there, I'm sure that you will not miss anything.
