Mountain is GORGEOUS And has a bit of everything Forests, rivers, waterfalls and pools refreshing We have been on 4X4 trip and spent two days on the mountain

The area of Paiko Mountain and Goumenissa are cold in winter, and, my younger brother who had visited the area six times in past summers, was persuaded to get out of bed before day break on a cold cloudy day, to let me take him to see things I had seen 52 years earlier as a child. Mount Paiko is the natural border between the prefectures of Kilkis and Pella.The highest summit is Gola Tsuka (1.650 m). It is only 80km NW if Thessaloniki, less than an hour drive.
