This place shows ,the importance of religion in ones life?! As soon as people conquer a place they convert religious institutions to show their power. If we all have the same God why bother to convert?

It is on the way to the castle and it is impressive. Unfortunately it was closed because of public holidays

One more testament (as if one was needed) of the respect of the people of Kavala to the multicultural past of the city. Beautifully restored to project the full story, from ancient to modern times.

It is ok to visit once you are in Panagia area, well preserved. However, it is all empty, so it would be good to combine the visit with a visit to the Castle, or Imaret.
