This museum is very well setup, the rooms are numbered in order of time period which makes it really easy to follow. There are a good number of exhibits and information which aren't overwhelming.

These are immense treasures! I was so impressed! We have got the combo ticket with the other attractions and we didn't have to see all in one day!

We just loved learning about Byzantine Culture. My young son was thrilled every time he saw jewelry and coins. We all were amazed by the mosaics and finery. Definitely a must-do in Thessaloniki.

Very nice museum, exellently organized with stunning collection covering vast period from early Cristianity to Bizantine legacy. It includes some outstanding tombs, glass, icons, but also jewlery and common objects for everyday life. Do not miss it.

Usually I come away from a museum with a sense after the sweep of history collected or sampled. Byzantium remains baffling to me. This might not be a museum failure. Could be no connection between my ears.
