Unable to see anything from the roman hippodrome. A place that you will see without understanding how important used to be.

I can see an attraction called Hippodrome with a picture of Rotunda and critics of Galerius palace. I think that the reffered attraction is Galerius Palace which lies in Navarinou Sq and Gounari st. Hippodrome is 50m to the west and the monumentary column lies dehind a small church Mitropoleos & Gounari st. That attraction is one of the best... More

One of the most famous city's squares where Roman Emperor Theodossios killed thousands of people. A high energy place. Today is famous for the numerous coffee shops and as a popular students' meeting point.
