Marble beach
About
Also known as Saliara Beach, this seaside gem located within a small isolated bay is loved for its crystal-clear waters and, as the name suggests, its white marble pebbled beach. While beautiful, the pebbles can be uncomfortable to walk on, so wear water shoes or sturdy sandals. There are also a beach bar and sunbeds for rent, and clear waters that are great for swimming. Be careful though, the water can get deep quickly. It gets busy, especially during summer, so get there early in the morning for fewer crowds. You can pass by Marble Beach and other gorgeous beaches on a sailing cruise of North Thasos. – Tripadvisor

The beach would be perfect if it wasn't so crowded to the point where you're touching the people walking next to you because there's no space and it's the same in the sea. The road to get to and from the beach is really tragic, I don't know how our car survived. It's about 15-20 minutes of crappy dirt road with a lot of dust from the cars and when you get there from the crowd you can only find parking up high about 5 minutes from the entrance of the bar by foot. In general, if you don't want to have to wake up at 6 o'clock in the morning to arrive and get a sunbed, I wouldn't recommend it, especially during the full season. It also has a minimum consumption of €15/person which, especially for what the beach bar offers, is too much!

The road to reach the Marble Beach is not a stable road and you will be exposed to a lot of dust during your ride. At the final destination, your car will be full of dust. At your return journey when you finish the road you will see there a car wash company. A reasonable facility to open here. You will understand the reason when you visit this place. Especially motorbike riders should avoid to go there for this reason. You see a lot of cars going there, so you expect a fascinating beach at your final destination. But the disappointment welcomes you when you reach the beach. Normally in Thassos, beaches are free for people if you not rent any umbrella and sunbed. But there is a guy at the door of the beach, who tries to get your money for any reason, even if you don’t want to hire umbrella and sunbed, which I did not observe in other beaches of the Island. Another disappointment is that it is a very small beach, it is not easy to find a place and I should warn you that if you want to hire a set of an umbrella and two sunbeds for two people it costs you € 50, which the highest among beaches located in the Island. Then the sea must be impressive, if it is stated a popular beach. There is another sharp no in this category. The sea was even dirty at the entrance, just a white bottom because of a marble mine close to this area. During our visit in Thassos, we have visited 6 beaches in Thassos, and Marble Beach was the worst in all categories (Beach facility, sea quality, price, service) among all the beaches. So don’t waste your time and don’t bother yourself driving on a very bad road, trying to reach a final destination for nothing.

The positives: The beach is great, with all the small marble pebbles and the esmerald water. Although it's not big it is a nice beach to spend some relaxing time.
The negatives: You have to pay 10 EUR per sunbed and you get only a small drink or coffe for it (that is equivalent of 3.5 EUR for other beaches). Not too many choices on food (some salads or sandwiches). No taverna or other restaurant. You have to drive for 25-30 min from the closest location on a, basically, dusty road. The road from Thassos village is better than the one from Panagia.

50 meter is another beach, with nicer view and free sun beds. Beside the nice water due to the small marble stones, there is nothing nice. The umbrelas are small and the sun goes through them, the heat is high due the sun rays reflecting and you have to pay 20 euros for the sun beds, you have a coffe or coke free in the price. But if you go to the next beach which is really close, you have free sun beds, a lot more space, better shade and it has also the marvel gravel.

Despite the fact that the beach is indeed beautiful the whole rest of the experience was nothing. Initially a long stretch of dirt road with many potholes. When entering the beach bar there is a sign indicating that you cannot take your cooler with you. There is no place to sit with your stuff on the sand as sunbeds have taken up the entire shore. We paid €30 for the umbrella set, they didn't accept payment by card and they give you a coffee or soft drink in the price. It goes without saying that there is no espresso machine and the coffee is awful from the machine. Of course it's self-service although normally with that much money the waiter should be above your head.

We visited this beach..There are two roads to go down the one more difficult but for me better than the mines and you leave the other that is about 3 kilometers sandy.
The beach pretty good I would say..The beach bar miserable..
Beyond the legal area of the beach bar they set up their own umbrellas all over the beach facade to the wave..With the effect that the bathers are twisted in a very small place..They charge you even the air that you breathe..Those who work there are canoeheaded, ironic and smarter... Checks 0 and do what they want..They even charge the shower with 0.50€ for 60 seconds with currency container.Their coffee carpets.Their music bad,we don't talk to have dj, music from YouTube one stopped one played a loud one low,one closed completely for 5 minutes. The toilets are 1 km away behind the car parking.
This beach is just worth taking a dive and leaving.
I'm so sorry about this bass.

Not a good experience. Avoid and save yourself a day and money. To begin with the last 4 km when driving to the beach are on a terrible dirt road. Free parking sounds promising, but everything changes once you get down to the beach.
Extremely crowded. One sunbed costs 12,50 per person!
It's self service, they don't accept card only cash. The beach isn't anything special. Just crushed marble on a small beach. Water i full och dirt/trash.
It's a tourist trap and for youngsters trying to show off.

The customer service is horrible. The beach is nice, but very crowded. The staff is hungry for money, they don’t care at all about their customers.
As soon as we arrived on the beach, didn’t even have time to choose our sunbeds before they came and requested to pay immediately. Afterwards, we got hungry. There were no sandwiches left at the bar, and we politely asked to make us one (and pay for it, of course). They did not even look at us. For 20€ per sun-beds set you get one free coffee, overpriced snacks, nothing to eat, cheap quality umbrellas.
Moreover, when we got there, there was a huge oil stain in the water, there was absolutely no chance for us to swim there.
I recommend Porto Vathy, it is 500 meters from the marble beach. It is more spacious, the staff are very friendly, the food is great and the overall atmosphere is so much better.

The beach is mesmerizing and the water is great. However, the staff is rude, there are no WC, they charge 10 euro per sunbed (1 soft drink included in the price) plus 50 cents in order to take a shower (!). Just take your own umbrella and go enjoy the beach.

The beach is awesome with white little rocks and white sand (from the marble) and clear blue water.
There is no natural shade on the shore and the white marble reflects the sun and makes everything brighter. Also, the entrance in the water goes deeper and deeper quite quickly.
There is a volleyball yard and loud music, so I think this beach is better suited for young people, not families with small and very small children.
In the back, there was an olive orchard that provided good shade, but the sun-beds there were 25 Euro a pair, drinks and food included.
