A 20 minute walk from where we parked our car, up a steep rocky path, took us to these large tombs, incredibly hewn out of solid rock to quite a depth with gigantic rock capstones. The capstones and graves designed with rebated edges to take...More

Оn the location Sendoukia at Mountain Karia, there are, by the legend the graves of pirates. In fact, on this spot there are three ancient graves carved deeply on the rocks, dated from Neolith time. Legend says that the legendary pirate Barbarossa tried to plunder...More

This is hard to rate or even really explain. The local government has not really organised the ancient sites like this. There is no information about it locally, so read up before you go. You get to the end of a dirt road, park, and...More

Off the beat and track, you will miss this entirely if you don't pay attention to the signs. The walk up seems endless and the terrain is rough so wear sneakers. Honestly, we walked up to the top and were not sure what we were...More

We followed instructions on a tourist map and were sadly misinformed. It said to keep going until the dirt road ended. In fact you leave the car where the road branches into two by a sign on a tree marked at Sendoukia. At no point...More
