If you come from Sweden this is just a wood, nothing special about it. It did have a so called rocking stone, a large ice age thing that you might move pushing in the right way.

It was raining and we reluctantly started the walk from the bus stop near Arsdale. The rain stopped and we enjoyed the hike. We made the red and yellows loops. The ground was wet but it was not a problem. The views of rocky cliffs,...More

Paradisbakkerne is my favorite forrest in Denmark. It has all you can expect of a forrest in this part of Scandinavia. A rocky landscape with rapidly changes in the charactwr of the landscape. Beautiful lakes, and overviews, butterflies, birds and reptiles abound, as do delicious...More

You can access Rokkestenen/the rocking stone from several dirctions, i can recommend the one from Klinteby. Take the red route, it's a 3 km that will take you past the Rokkesten and a picture perfect "mountain" lake (Grydesø). And it IS super easy to get...More

It is a nice walk with beautiful nature. Took the blue trail that was 5 km and it was a relatively easy hike. I do not recommend going by bike since there are a lot of roots and boulders.

We did one of the shorter circuits in Paradisbakkerne, beginning and ending at the parking lot on Oksemyrevej 1. The paths are well marked and the forest is pleasant. There were a few gradients, but mostly, the paths were easy to stroll along. Kids will...More

This is like a fairytale forest. Various hiking routes can be taken thourgh the forest. It is not steep there so very good for kids as well. And trying to move Krölle Bölle's Rokkestien is always big fun even for adults.

A nice walk in the woods, but when you're from Norway it's like everywhere else. We saw two deer running around. We had high hopes for this famous "rokkestenen", and were let down by the fact that it is a rock you can move 2...More

We went through Paradisbakkerne with bikes and it might have been a mistake, as we just rode through it without hiking the area. If you have more time, I do recommend leaving your bike and walking around the place. There are three parkings that you...More
