We stopped here and walked in to see the summer palace. It looks very nice and must have a great view of the harbor.

When the Queen is not in Aarhus it is possible to walk up to the palace and around in the gardens. Very well maintained and beautiful on a sunny day. There is free parking in the side street.

Fairly "modern" building, erected in 1902 I believe. Lovely house with a beautiful art-park surrounding it. Below is an even greater park, which was fully occupied by running events when we were there.

Royal Palace summer home, which everyone is free to walk around and peer into the windows when they are not in residence. Found this quite unique. The gardens are worth a look see too.

I visited the park a sunny day in October. There are many sculptures and several small rooms with flowers or. I can imagine that the park is beautiful in the summer, but it was certainly in the beautiful fall colors too.
