Cute narrow streets full of life, cafes, restaurants and shops. This area is for sure the perfect location for relaxing after a day of museums and tours. Grab dinner or just a coffee watching Aarhus go by.

The Latin Quarter is a great place to wander, full of shops and restaurants. Take an hour or two to browse the shops. Maybe pick a cafe for a coffee or tea, and then look around for a restaurant for dinner or lunch.

This area of Aarhus is more intimate. Smaller buildings with lots of small restaurants and bars. A lot of good looking young people, friendly atmosphere and a lot of great food.

There is just standard european buildings and architect. But on a hot afternoon with an ice cream in hand, it does teh job.

I have to agree that this area isn’t quite as unique as it is billed. It’s still a pretty standard European shopping and restaurant district. Nevertheless, it’s a pleasant atmosphere in a mostly pedestrian zone. You’ll find some good restaurants and a few cross-timbered buildings.

My Danish partner and I don't live in Denmark any more, but I used to work every summer in Aarhus and loved the time I spent here - particularly wandering round the adorable Latin Quarter. We hadn't been here for 10 or so years and...More

Distances in Aarhus never are long, so I'd suggest walking. You might want to download a map of the town center. Latin Quarter dates back to medieval times when the town was confined by walls and moats. Two of the burgher... More
