Cute narrow streets full of life, cafes, restaurants and shops. This area is for sure the perfect location for relaxing after a day of museums and tours. Grab dinner or just a coffee watching Aarhus go by.

The Latin Quarter is a great place to wander, full of shops and restaurants. Take an hour or two to browse the shops. Maybe pick a cafe for a coffee or tea, and then look around for a restaurant for dinner or lunch.

This area of Aarhus is more intimate. Smaller buildings with lots of small restaurants and bars. A lot of good looking young people, friendly atmosphere and a lot of great food.

I have to agree that this area isn’t quite as unique as it is billed. It’s still a pretty standard European shopping and restaurant district. Nevertheless, it’s a pleasant atmosphere in a mostly pedestrian zone. You’ll find some good restaurants and a few cross-timbered buildings.

My Danish partner and I don't live in Denmark any more, but I used to work every summer in Aarhus and loved the time I spent here - particularly wandering round the adorable Latin Quarter. We hadn't been here for 10 or so years and...More
