Definitely worth making sure Tivoli is open when you visit Copenhagen ( it's closed early in the year) - it's so different from other theme parks. As you walk through the gates, you're hit by the view of the flowers and the smell too. The rides are not very busy and there are some fun old fashioned ones, like the... More

My wife and I took time to stroll thru the gardens, grab a bite to eat, and just enjoy watching people. Very pleasant, lots of activity, but in a relaxed sort of way. Great way to unwind later in the day.

A must see place in Copenhagen. Crowded, and typical tivolishops, but this one has a historic touch and is one mainpoint in the definition of Copenhagen.

If you are going for the Christmas Markets, you can do better at the free markets around town. Definitely not worth the £10 it costs to enter. Perhaps it's good for children who want to ride the rides in the amusement park but if you're going for food and shopping and mulled wine, you can do better at the various... More

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
