The Frederiks Kirke, is one of the most unusual and stunning churches I have ever seen. It's circular shape is unique in my experience. The inside of the church is peaceful and awe inspiring. Frederick's Church has the largest church dome in Scandinavia with a span of 31m. The dome rests on 12 columns. The inspiration was probably St. Peter's... More

The canal cruise announces when to look up a narrow street and take a quick look at this lovely structure but if you walk by it you can also see another church with onion domes just a few steps away.

Standout on the skyline, worth a look inside the dome, very beautiful. Easy to stop in for a quick look.

I have passed many time in this nice church, because I was late or early in opening time. Normally it is open from 10:00, but it is not open at late night. On Sunday there is worship service at 10:30 and it is not for visitor. So it is not easy to see inside if you do not know it.... More

Frederik's Dome is also known as the Marble Church and it is a thing of beauty to behold. Resembling St. Paul's in London from the outside but smaller inside, the dome itself is stunning to look at and easy to spot on the skyline of the city with its distinctive green tinted roof. Inside is equally gorgeous - opulent and... More

Lots of construction around, but well worth the hassle. It is probably the most reverent feeling church of all we visited. Very quiet and respectful!

Frederick's Church is close to the Amalienborg Castle. You can see the church from various places in Copenhagen. The entrance to the church is free but the climb to the top costs 35 kr. We only visited the church and it was beautiful. It has a gorgeous painted ceiling and the paintings are beautiful.

From many places near the waterfront you can see the iconic round dome of the Marble Church. Take a few minutes to walk over and go inside. There is an attractive painted ceiling, not the Sistine Chapel, but beautiful. As you walked up to the church you may have noticed people up top and walking up to the observation area... More

This special church has an amazing painted ceiling which is worth a visit, for sure. The round shape is different from many churches and the walk up the stairs to the dome gives a panoramic view of the city.
