Copenhagen's Nyhaven, or "New Harbor," is actually steeped in a long heritage. Colorful buildings line the canal and hint at a history of small-vessel traffic. Like many ports, this strip has a salty history, rich with sailors, drinking and literary...more

I am so pleased this is near my hotel as I don't Think I will tire of walking and exploring the roads of Nyhaven. So pretty with Christmas lights and little cabins selling food, Fri is and some gifts. Great selection of places to eat...More
It's a very nice spot to take pictures (especially for instagram people). Nothing much to do there though but it's really nice to see. The harbor, the colorful houses and the restaurants create a unique spot. If you also walk around, you'll find some cool...More
Really lovely place. The Christmas Markets looked so beautiful, when lit up at night it was quite the spectacle.
One thing I would say, bring plenty of money along with you, almost everywhere in Denmark take card. A lot of places are even card only.
Nyhavn is probably one of the most recognizable spots in Copenhagen, and it was not a disappointment. Even though the weather wasn't great while I was there it was still beautiful to see the harbor and surrounding buildings. Also when I went (early December) there...More
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding
neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
