Nice little museum, would probably suit families or fairy tale enthusiasts

Lovely information about Andersen's life, with dioramas and timelines as well as displays and copies of many of his works. Some of the models are a little creepy but on the whole... read more

I, my wife and two kids (16-year-old and 14-year-old) visited Copenhagen in August 2016. I got to know this tour from Rick Steves' Europe guide book and decided to give it a try. I am very glad to have taken Richard's tour. He is very knowledgeable of Copenhagen. Most importantly, he is friendly, fun and hilarious. He gave informational and... More

Lovely information about Andersen's life, with dioramas and timelines as well as displays and copies of many of his works. Some of the models are a little creepy but on the whole it has not aged too badly, and it is really nice to see the Andersen original stories instead of the modern popular culture ones which we often see.... My kids did not know who HC Anderson was until we went there, they really enjoyed listening to some of his stories

We spent around 30 minutes in the morning at the H.C. Andersen Museum. It was a good museum for young children. We walked through the museum and listened to the stories of H.C. Andersen. Get their at 10am and be the first one to go through this museum. My Kids are 6, 4, and 2 years old and enjoyed the... More

You are better off reading about his life and his works. The museum does not offer much given the fee it charges. A tourist trap!
