It's a beautiful Cemetery that people even come to have a relaxing day here during the summer. You also get to see the tombs of famous personalities.

This fairly large cemetery combines a recreative area AND an active cemetery. This means that in part of the cemetery you are allowed and invited to picnic and in other parts you should respect the character of the place (and mourners). The real treasure here...More

This is essentially a park. well landscaped and pleasanr. this place is nice even for a picnic in summer. Some grave stones of the famous is found here. The likes of Niels Bohr and HC Andersen are buried here

I was on a bike tour and passed by Assistens Cemetery that is a very beautiful park. Hans Christian Andersen grave is there. Very quiet and peaceful.
